Painting is an area of home construction that most folks can complete regardless of skill and ability. However, there are vast differences in paint job quality that are evident in the final presentation.

PRODUCT QUALITY: There are several levels of paint quality and we invest in high quality paint every time. While discount products are appealing cost-wise, paint is an area where the added investment is worth it.

PROCESS: Once drywall is complete, it should be sealed with PVA, a dedicated drywall primer designed to seal the drywall’s porous surface. From there, a paint primer should be applied, followed by multiple coats of paint. Between each step/layer, sanding is required to ensure that paint is properly absorbed into the surface and imperfections are smoothed away.

WALL PREPARATION: Some walls are paint-ready. Others need to be smoothed out, touched up and in some cases, the drywall needs to be removed and reinstalled.

We use high quality paint materials and don’t cut corners on our paint jobs to ensure clients have seamless, showroom-ready walls.
